Become a part of the MPanel

Overview

Our amazing group of Panelists worldwide, the MPanel, share a passion for multimedia content. Together, we have embraced the mission of changing the media landscape as we know it, and started a revolution! But how?

We wanted to understand how viewers really engage with the content they consume, so we measure our Panelists’ emotional reactions while interacting with the content.

By becoming a Panelist, you can also contribute to the future of media by watching premium, exclusive content from the comfort of your home while using our cool, portable technology and sharing your opinions. At the end, in appreciation of your time and contributions, you’ll get access to a stream of rewards.

How do I join?

Here are the steps of the process to become a Mediaprobe Panelist:

Apply to Become a Panelist

You start your journey by filling out the form on our website, under the section “Apply”. You will then receive a survey in your email – which helps us find out more about you so we can match your profile with our incredible projects.

Set up | Sensor

If there is a match, we ship our amazing, small, wireless, and portable sensor to your address along with the instructions on how to set it up.

Set up | Mobile App

You download and install the MP Mediatest app on iOS or Android which (1) authenticates and notifies you and (2) collects second-by-second dial activity and pre/post-survey responses.

Sessions | Platform Web Application

The panelists use the Mediaprobe platform or web application to get access to the content for some sessions (unless it is live TV or radio broadcast) and respond to surveys.

Rewards & Incentives Program

To show our appreciation, we established an incentives program that rewards YOU, our panelists for your successful participation.

Technical Requirements

You need a smartphone with internet access, a laptop/desktop, a TV, and access to a stable internet connection.

Incentives

As a token of appreciation for your time and contributions, you’ll earn Amazon vouchers for onboarding and all sessions you complete successfully. We add up all the session rewards and process them on the 7th of each month.

How am I going to be rewarded?

Rewards are issued through Amazon gift cards. We add up all the session rewards and send them through on the 7th of each month.

How do I set up the sensor?

When you receive the sensor, the first step is to log in to the MP MediaTest app through the ‘sensor’ option. After doing so, you will be able to receive invites to the Mediaprobe sessions.

What sort of content can I expect to be watching/listening to?

Usually, the content mainly consists of Sports Events, Entertainment Shows, Podcasts, etc. We monitor a multitude of different types of content, either video or audio.

What do I need to become a member? (Requirements - phone w/ access to internet, good internet connection, TV, PC or laptop)

You need a smartphone with access to the internet, a laptop/desktop, a TV, and access to a stable internet connection.

Is there a chance the sensor might affect my pacemaker/other devices in the vicinity?

The use of the Mediaprobe sensor does not have an impact on such devices.

Mobile App FAQs

What is the MP MediaTest app and how do you use it? Read the answers to the most common mobile app FAQs. The MP MediaTest app is available on Android and iOS.

How can I login into MP MediaTest App, using Mediaprobe Sensor?

a) Select the option ‘Sensor’ on the main screen of the app;
b) Shake the sensor lightly until a blue light appears and wait for it to log into your account.

a) Shake the sensor lightly until a blue light appears;

b) Turn off and on the Bluetooth on your mobile;

c) Reset the sensor – connect the sensor to the charging cable (red light should blink) and disconnect right away (it should start blinking blue when you shake the sensor), so that the sensor is able to reconnect. Verify if the connection problem is solved, if not move to the following step;

d) If the options below did not work, please re-install the app;

e) If the problem persists, please contact us through support@mediaprobe.com

f) make sure you have an internet connection

a) Use new electrodes every time you take part in a new study;

b) Remove the plastic protection from the electrodes and stick the sensor to the palm, close to the limit of the fingers. Reinforce the placement using the silicone band provided;

c)  Avoid, during studies, making sudden movements with your hand;

d) If the problem persists, please switch the electrodes and check your signal again.

a) Remove the sensor;

b) Clean hands and change the electrodes;

c) Remove the protector plastics from the electrodes and place the sensor on the palm of the hand again.

a) When you’re ready to start a session, you should click on ‘Accepted Sessions’ on ‘Home’ menu or click on “Sessions” on the app menu and select “Accepted”.

b) Select the session you want to do and click on ‘Start’;

c) Follow the instructions and “Let’s Go”.

To charge your sensor use the USB cable sent by us.

Charge the sensor at least two hours before a session, until the LED turns green.

a) Select the option ‘Sensor’ on the main screen of the app;
